German tourists cycling back towards Hain or Oybin after dinner in Krompach (Czech Republic) over the open border (Schengen). This tarmac road is blocked for motor vehicles.
On a dyke, with the Weser cycleway D9 below on the left (western) side with the "AKW Unterweser" nuclear power plant in the background. The D9 is a pleasant to cycleway.
The correct way to filter the entrance to a walking/cycling route - with bollards. Not stupid A-frames.
Now that’s how you design a quick build cycle lane and bus stop!! Admittedly, it does help if you’ve spent half a century aggressively widening roads in the name of car dominance.
