Diagonal path across New Square (which is the main pedestrian route between the City Centre and the Grafton Centre) has not been gritted - but the lesser used footway at the side of the street called New Square has been treated.

I've been out for a five hour cycle ride as the snow has been coming down on Manhattan. This is quite a good cycle route on the bank of the East River - much faster that having to stop at all the intersections with the streets.

The very straight dividing line here makes me think this is not due to gritting, perhaps a heated section because it is on a slight slope.

Cycle track is beautifully cleared of snow, compared to the road (with pinch point bollards) which is less looked after, and (far right) footpath which is poor.
