Could this riverside route in Richmond (North Yorkshire) be improved for cycling?

End of the route around Richmond Castle

Narrow footbridge - but it would be great if a cycle path could be put in across the Old Deer Park towards Richmond station

Road closure at riverside path, Richmond

Shared-use path at Richmond Riverside

Blazing Saddles bike rental, Richmond

Shared-use beneath Richmond Bridge

Is that meant to be a solitary cycle stand by the boathouses?

It should be possible to put in a cycle link somewhere between Richmond Hill and the riverside.

It would be perfectly possible to have a cycleway here to avoid the part at least of the busy road to Richmond Park

Nice polite sign - as if one would want to take a bike down those steps.

This would be a useful cycle way - if there wasn't a quiet parallel road just to the right

No cycling past Richmond church

Road closure at riverside route by Richmond railway bridge

Towpath cycle route under Twickenham Bridge

Narrow cycle track on Twickenham Bridge

Signs on Thames-side route

Cycle link from the Thames-side route to Twickenham bridge - so presumably the 'No Access' sign refers to cars only.

Road closure, Richmond upon Thames

Cycle shed at Richmond station

Signs in Richmond station cycle shed

Oversized No Cycling sign referring to the footway and no indication that cyclists can use the dead-end bit of road.

Token provision - a dropped kerb would be a good start

Pedestrian and cycle crossing, Richmond Circus

The sign shows cyclists on the left, the marking on the footway seems to show cyclists on the right...

LCN route 37 parallel to the A3004 - with a cycle contraflow at the far end of Rosslyn Road.

Short cycle track leading to crossing over the A3004.

Alternatively you could just turn right like a normal road-user.

Richmond Park on Sunday morning - trainee cyclist, jogging father and horse-riders.

National Cycle Network route 4 in Richmond Park - supposedly one-way and with a 10mph maximum speed

Sunday morning cyclists at Ham Gate, Richmond Park - No Cycling and National Cycle Network signs on the same post - presumably one applies on one side and one on the other, but who's to know which is which?
