The Sighthill Bridge is reached by busy main roads with no cycle facilities, or alternatively an awkward route around the houses in Townhead. The toucan crossing across Baird Street was not working when I visited.
The resurfaced footway of the otherwise abandoned Swordale Place. In combination with Kildermorie Road, useful for local trips across Easterhouse, avoiding the main roads, but with all the broken glass and other debris, a very unattractive … [more]
Abandoned Kildermorie Road, blocked off with concrete blocks at each end (with no gap for cycling) and covered in broken glass and other debris. But a useful link for local trips avoiding the main roads.
A fallen cycle parking stand in Benalder Street. But it appears that it was not the rust that led to its downfall.
Damage to a sign post and a wrecked cycle stand, while the Fire Path markings on the traffic island are almost unreadable.

A direction sign for the canal access that has completely faded out at the roundabout at the hospital western exit. The pedestrian crossing is also completely out on both sides.
New but damaged cycle parking at the Vet School. Not best placed with regards to access to the building either.
A new cycle access point to the NCN7 path at the Beith Street/Rosevale Street roundabout, but nothing done to rectify the adjacent tree root damage.
Tree root damage left unattended to when work has been done to install a new access point at the roundabout.
Tree root damage to the NCN7 path that has been left unattended to for so long that the actual root is now exposed. See also #99471.
The staggered toucan crossing on Castlebank Street at the end of the fancy bridge from Beith Street has a rather narrow central island, made worse by the railing have taken a bit of a battering.
The ironwork at the Hill Street junction in Cambridge Street is rather uneven, and is directly in the cycle lane with little option to avoid if someone happens to be coming the other way. The bollard also looks rather beaten up.
The Wallacewell Road cycle lane at a bus stop where the bollard has been knocked over, and the drainage pipe is hanging in the air above the gutter. See also #173126.
The little bridge across the Forth & Clyde Canal in Clydebank appears to have stuck. Access is still available across the main bridge at the shopping centre, but this is often busy with pedestrians, making this a preferred route for cycling … [more]
The partly protected cycle lane in Provanmill Road is slightly wider than the advisory cycle lane it replaced. The pedestrian crossing is not working.
Residential cycle parking needs to be a bit more secure that just stands in the street. It could also be further away from the kerb to allow room for opening car doors.
The pedestrian crossing on the Newlands to Silverburn cycle route at Thornliebank Road is out of use. This is quite a busy road, and being next to a roundabout it is not terribly easy to cross the road unaided at this location.
A broken lighting column on the path between Station Road and Conon Avenue. As is commonly the case, the lighting columns have been placed in the width of the path and not to the side, causing local narrowings of an already not particularly … [more]
A poor surface on the path the Glasgow to Cumbernauld cycle route is signed along in Glenconner Park. With a little bit of work it could even be quite nice, although the person cycling along the footway of Royston Road in the background … [more]

Broken bollards and obstructive car parking in Clouston Street, where cycling through is permitted in the Traffic Regulation Order. The 'Keep Clear' road markings could do with being renewed.
Broken racks - nice idea in principle to provide wheel supports against these stands, like on the left. In practice though they have turned out to be fragile.
A contraflow cycle lane has been created on Argyle Street, but it is full of broken asphalt and dislodged stonework, and is nowhere near a smooth ride. With on-coming vehicles now in the centre of the carriageway (as in #139536), less … [more]
Most of the gullies on this section of road appeared to be blocked, but this one was also dislodged from its mounting.
The cost of poorly maintained cycling infrastructure... Frame snapped in two at the bottom bracket, from the battering it receives from Newnham's potholes.

Broken path surface and broken glass on the climb up from Drumoyne Road to the Craigton Road underpass.
The cycleway from the Clyde Tunnel has been blocked by a damaged guardrail. The CCTV coverage does not appear to have led to a speedy repair. The cube sign gives directions that are different from the green sign below it.
The path to Riverside Street collapsed when the river level changed. It wasn't looking too good before that either. If I owned one of those flats, I'd be asking my councillor what was going to be done about this.
The South Bank cycle path, which only opened a few months previously, collapsed when the river level changed. A diversion has been arranged through the adjacent car park (see #95382).
The cycle parking stands outside the Kelvin Hall are hopeless and need replaced. Bolting stands onto block paving is not sufficiently secure in a street environment. See also #95251.
Broken asphalt on the route the Kelvingrove Art Gallery boss preferred cyclists to take rather than the more obvious route through the car park.
It turns out bolting cycle parking stands to block paving isn't very secure. Who knew? See also #95296.

The path to the Wardpark Industrial Estate has been left to rot. Why not upgrade this path and include it in the Cumbernauld Cycle Network?
