[Image taken 20.2.23] Wigginton Road (east side, close to junction with Crichton Avenue, looking north), York. The existing damaged narrow pavement with no protection from motor vehicles - which can include car transporters, etc, from air or noise pollution. Some cyclists use this and the crossings - currently pedestrian, see previous images - after coming off their cycles on the steep Foss Islands spiral (see: #190046, #190996) and breaking a shoulder, an arm...) The route is not gritted in icy weather. It also gets covered in leaves (see: #187304) which are slippery in wet weather. Other image here today and links: #191269.
