[Image taken on 7.5.22] Bootham Bar/St Leonard’s Place, York. Context and all links today: #182461. Note again the partial encroachment of this York taxi driver into the Bootham turn ASL. This adult with the child on board was unable to access the ASL the way I was advised the junction was redesigned to provide for cyclists to do - using the lane with the sightseeing bus in it. Instead the adult squeezed between the bus and the taxi. It is also important to note that many of the bus drivers do not turn off their engines while waiting here (which can be some time if it is a sightseeing service) plus that despite CYC replacing (they call it "improvements" but when consulted, residents disagreed that they made things better, the TSAR scheme the 'same side' pedestrian lights as here, they did not use the opportunity to install 'No idling' 'Please turn off your engines' signs on them for all users and/or for all buses (compare with: #166529).
