[Image taken on 7.5.22] Bootham Bar/St Leonard’s Place, York. Context and links to all images and observations today: #182462. These two cyclists used the 'central lane lead-in' to reach the left turn, Bootham, ASL. Partial obstruction of the ASL by drivers is as common here as complete obstruction. It makes it more difficult to filter into the ASL (from either direction), and, reduces the space for legitimate users (in York this now includes Tier hire scooter see: #164663 users). This ASL was frequently oversubscribed by legitimate users even before the Tier trial started in October 2020.
