[Image taken 26.4.22] Haxby Cycleway, New Earswick, Huntington/Haxby/York. [Note: No street view at this location.] The sheep pen barriers/obstructions (see: #180450) have been gone (again) for a couple of weeks. This is a steep incline. You need a clear run. After taking this image I had to push up to the summit (the bridge over the York-Scarborough rail line). A chap who collects his young daughter from school on his bike said he hasn’t any had any negative experiences as a result of the barriers being removed. In fact, he said he’d come off at them when riding here once – the light had been broken – so he is pleased they have gone and hopes this is permanent. (It seems it's a mystery who has been removing them though.) Other images today: #182070 and links.
