[UPDATE: This vehicle (registration DA55FNW) has been here each Saturday I have cycled along the riverside. It was there again on 9.4.22 and 14.5.22, with another regular parker: #182599. On 20.2.22 CYC said: " At the moment there is nothing we can do about this due to this area not being part of the adopted highway where we believe they are getting access under the Lendal Bridge arch as we have recently changed the locks on the bollards so access should no longer be possible through the car park.
Work is underway however to review this adoption issue with a view to making this adopted highway that will then allow parking restrictions to be put in place.
No one (other than the drivers of course) likes this type of parking so Im pleased that there may be an opportunity to bring this in as adopted highway that will then allow civil enforcement officers to take action.] [Image taken 19.2.22] West Esplanade, York (west bank of the Ouse). [NOTE: No street view at this location.] Context: #177018 and links. Other image this image today: #179210.
