[Image taken 4.9.20] Entrance/exit Bootham Stray, Alder Way, New Earswick, York. [Note: No street view on Bootham Stray.] To get through here with a buggy, a bike, in a wheelchair, a bespoke or adapted cycle (see: #173447) or what I call a ‘York’cycle, which can be a cycle set up for utility use and cycle laden with shopping, for example, you need a radar key. If you have mobility issues and/or are in a wheelchair you may also need someone who can open the gate for you. If your cycle does not have a stand, you need to lean it somewhere while you open the gate. But doing so blocks the pedestrian gate.
