[Image taken 11.10.21] Station Avenue, Station Road, Rougier Street, York. This is part of the Scarborough Bridge to Ouse Bridge Flood Scheme diversion. Are the routes for the cyclists and the wheelchair users the same? There's no route identifying (destination) information for wheelchair users. Isn’t this actually the extent of the wheelchair diversion for the Lendal bridge gates closure? If, IF, the sign positioned up on the post can be seen by the people who need to then this is good practice. It removes clutter at street level and chances of the sign falling over/being knocked or moved out of place and does not require sandbags to stabilise it which leads to other issues (see: #174803). For all today's signs and discussions about them see: #174802 and links.
