[UPDATE 8.2.23: #190890] [UPDATE: On Tuesday, 19 July 2022 at the Meeting of Decision Session Cllr D'Agorne - Executive Member for Transport considered measures intended to make cycling on centre centre bridges - Lendal, Ouse, Skeldergate
- safer for cyclists. The original document 'Active Travel Programme – City Centre Bridges

I stopped to ask about their experiences of cycling on York's bridges. They push their cycles over because drivers - including bus drivers - pass too closely. I believe York should trial 'Do not overtake cyclists' signs on its bridges this summer. See 'Give cyclists space' sign in use in Edinburgh: #185883. Other image today: #164310.
