[NOTE: Terry Avenue closed to diverted motor traffic and reopened to non motorised-users on Friday, 8 July 2022. Search on 'clementhorpefloodworks'.] [Update: See: #164095 and: #169084] [Photo taken mid-May 2019] York Cycle Campaign [yorkcyclecampaign.bike] members leafletted and spoke to people on Terry Avenue and at the Butcher Terrace end of the Millennium Bridge. The message was, Terry Ave could close for flood defence works for up to 18 months. If this will adversely affect you, sign our petition to keep it open.
On 26.2.21 the Cycle Campaign put out a press release recommending "cyclists avoid the area during working hours and consider alternative means of transport if they need to travel between Southbank and Fishergate, or from the Millennium Bridge to Skeldergate".
