Good example of a split crossing. Points to note:
No awkward, tight turns. Two child trailers could easily pass.
Plenty of room for pedestrians and cyclists to wait alongside.
Stagger is enough to stop people riding straight through without looking, but not so much to make it difficult to negotiate.
No confusing "see through" from one set of lights to the next.
Not to much guard railing, and only where it is needed.
